Artist's Comments

This is a piece of fan art I did for . I really admire his cute character designs as well as attention to detail when he draws firearms!

Portrayed in the drawing are Kalahari in his standard outfit, button up khaki colored shirt and khaki cargo pants, hiking boots, toting his AKM assault rifle under his arm, safety engaged.

And Kliefox to his right. Since Kalahari exsisted around the 70's, I had to make Klie period, so he's wearing your typical U.S. Grunt's outfit, OD Green everything. Shirt to keep cool, cargo pants, spike protectant jungle boots (I used to have a pair), M-1969 Flak Vest, M-16A1 under his arm (note the 20 round magazine), carried with the assistance of a rifle shoulder strap/webbing, and M-1 helmet in his left hand.

I picture Klie making a joke to Kalahari along the lines of, "Y'know, when they said they were sending me to the 'Nam, I had no idea they meant Namibia." *chuckles*

Media: Your standard 8.5 x 11 printer paper, .05 mechanical pencil, .005, .01, .03, .05, & .08 micron inking pens.

Great pose and expression :D and its tough to find that kind of detail in firearms around here! Definite +fav! Great attention to attire, very authentic :)

Wow Scotty, impressive job! I love it. I like how even the weapons seem slightly toonified. : )
